Una varietà dalla Turchia. Conosciuto anche come Ipec Pul Biber Marash. Uno dei più deliziosi peperoncini turchi. Dalla forma paffuta oblunga, il Maras prende il nome dalla città sud-orientale di Kahramanmaras dove è coltivato vicino al confine con la Siria. Generalmente usato in polvere, dopo l'essiccazione varia dal rosso scuro-arancio a una tonalità che è quasi cremisi.
